Introduction

This beautiful limestone barn conversion is full of charm and character. It sits in the lovely village of Monyash, where you can walk to the head of Lathkill Dale in moments. The scenery here is some of the best in the Peak District National Park. The property is perfect for groups and sleeps up to ten adults.

Entertaining

The open-plan dining kitchen includes bespoke Shaker-style cabinets in a soft grey finish. Oak work surfaces run throughout the room and include a generous breakfast bar with seating. The Range Master triple oven gives you plenty of space to cook for a group. You will also find an American-style larder fridge-freezer, a microwave and an integrated dishwasher. The kitchen is fully stocked with equipment and modern essentials, so self-catering is simple.

In the central space, the communal dining area seats ten guests comfortably. The dual aspect windows bring in lots of light, and the French doors open directly onto an enclosed landscaped garden.

The sitting room is a gorgeous space with an impressive Inglenook-style stone fireplace, over seven feet wide. A French-style cast-iron fire sits in the centre. The oak-boarded floor and the French windows, which open to the enclosed garden, make the room bright and welcoming.

The snug provides a quieter space with comfy seating, board games, a Smart TV and a DVD player. You can also request to use the sofa as a sofa bed. An alternative staircase in the snug leads directly to bedroom five.

The layout offers flexible accommodation with five spacious bedrooms, three en-suite bathrooms and one shared bathroom.

Ground Floor
Bedroom 1 – Double bed with en-suite shower.

First Floor
Bedroom 2 – Super-king or twin option, plus a bunk bed. Includes an en-suite bathroom with a bath.
Bedroom 3 – Double or twin room with a Jack and Jill en-suite shared with bedroom 4. The bathroom includes a bath with a shower over.
Bedroom 4 – Double or twin room with shared Jack and Jill access to the bathroom.

A door from bedroom 4 leads to the second landing. From here, a staircase goes down to the snug with the sofa bed.

Nearby

There is so much to explore in the surrounding area. The countryside is stunning throughout the year, with walking routes that suit every season. You can also enjoy scenic bike rides along peaceful country lanes. Within 1.7 miles, you can join the Tissington and High Peak Trail and cycle all the way to Ashbourne.

Several towns and villages sit close by as well. The spa town of Buxton and the market town of Bakewell are both around ten minutes away. Further afield, you can visit Dovedale, Chatsworth House, Tissington and Haddon Hall. Alton Towers Resort is also within a 35-minute drive.
