Introduction…
These two fabulous barns consists of a beautiful classic whitewashed 17th century Welsh farmhouse as well as a traditional stone-built 18th century barn that has just been sympathetically renovated to a very high standard. Both luxury self-catering cottages are located in a wonderful rural location surrounded by a working farm, offering true peace and quiet and the most wonderful views. They’re located close to Oswestry so you’ve got a selection of pubs, restaurants & tea rooms close by too!
The smaller of the properties sleeps 8 guests (The Farmhouse) and the larger property sleeps 14 guests (The Barn)…& of course larger groups are welcome to take over the whole property (maximum 22 guests). We recommend the larger property as this has the hot tub & then for larger groups, use the Farmhouse for additional accommodation/space. You’re also just 17 miles from Bala Lake with it’s abundance of water sports including sailing, gorge walking, white water rafting, kayaking & windsurfing.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms…
The Farmhouse sleeps 8 guests –
- Bedroom 1- charming king size bedroom with roof-lights.
- Bedroom 2 – south facing king size antique bed, chest of drawers, side table and hanging space.
- Bedroom 3 – with bunk-bed and small table & chairs.
- Master Bedroom – very large king size bedroom with south facing and hillside views. In-room sink, seating area, chest of drawers and hanging space.
- Bathroom – located on the ground floor. Shower room with rose-head shower and bathroom with roll-top bath.
The Barn sleeps 14 guests –
- Bedroom 1 – is south facing with its own terrace. King size bed and antique French sink. Shares a shower room with Bedroom 2.
- Bedroom 2 – is a cosy loft-style double bedroom above the kitchen with views west up the valley towards the forest.
- Bedroom 3 – leads off the kitchen on the lower level with en-suite shower room and twin beds.
- Bedroom 4 – is the master bedroom on a raised ground floor with access externally as well as from the living area. King size bed and en-suite shower room along with an in-room bath with fabulous view over the valley.
- Bedroom 5 – is a substantial bedroom with super king bed. Velux window with a view up the mountain as well as peep hole looking over the main living space. Shares large family bathroom with bedroom 6 with walk-in shower and bath.
- Bedroom 6 – is a studio bedroom with two double beds. Glass French windows across full length of south wall providing lovely light airy room and spectacular view. Shares family bathroom with bedroom 5.
Nearby…
There are some beautiful local walks directly from the doorstep – up to the top of the mountain and back, over the valley to the local Pub or of course you could just stay put, stoke up the wood-burner.
